I have always believed that one’s career should provide a portion of significance in life.\u00a0 Because of this belief, I have experienced quite a bit of inner conflict.\u00a0 I love my current job, but it doesn’t make me feel very significant.<\/strong>\u00a0 I get caught up in thoughts like, “What if I had majored in something different in college?\u00a0 What if I had gone into the corporate world and had a more prestigious job making a significant salary?\u00a0 I’m not meeting the standard.\/I’m not good enough.\u00a0 Did I make the wrong choice?\u00a0 I should be ‘making more of myself’.”\u00a0 It’s thoughts like these that tie me up in knots.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!\u00a0 He has set me free from this!<\/strong>\u00a0 A couple of weeks ago, He revealed a very important truth to me–God didn’t design my career to be a source of\u00a0significance.\u00a0 He, Himself, makes me significant.\u00a0 <\/strong>He is the creator.\u00a0 He is the only one with the authority and power to assign value to His creation.\u00a0 He says I am “fearfully and wonderfully made”.\u00a0 He says I am “holy and dearly loved”.\u00a0 I am now very content in this job that I love because I now know that it’s not supposed to give me significance.\u00a0 That’s God’s job!\u00a0 What a sense of peace and freedom believing the TRUTH brings!<\/p>\n
